John: Senior Project manager
What I do: Working with a team of four employment and one in work retention worker providing employment support to mental health service users in Tower Hamlets. Total of 11 years of working in this sector.

Outside of work: Live at Angel which is really nice. Keen interest on keeping fit, avid reader, but reluctant gardener for my small patch of green.


Miriam: Employment Specialist
What I do: Work closely with a caseload of clients in order to assist them prepare for, look for, and maintain employment. I am passionate about what I do and enjoy helping my clients realise and achieve their employment related goals. 

Outside of work: I like to travel, spend time with loved ones and explore the beautiful city of London 


Kadar: Employment and Vocational Adviser
What I do: I have started this role back in May 2011. I enjoy working with this client group it’s definitely challenging however seeing them move from multiple barriers to more stable positive destinations is really what gives me the buzz!

Outside of work: I enjoy travelling, exercise and going to the movies.


Gary: Employment and Vocational Adviser
What I do: I provide a personalized advice and support service for my clients who would like to return to work. Together we build an action plan of the priorities and options to help my clients reach their goal – a job! I started working with the Trust in December 2010 and have enjoyed many rewarding experiences since then working with my clients, and alongside my NHS colleagues, to deliver a professional and dedicated service that meets their needs.

Outside of work: A hard line West Ham fan, poker player and occasional writer who lives in the East End with my family. Before coming to WWT I worked in social regeneration, the welfare to work sector and a before this worked in the Oil industry, for my sins…


Amelia: Employment and vocational advisor:

What I do: I’ve worked in various mental health settings since 2011 providing employment support. This has included community mental health settings, drop-in services, residential facilities and home-based outreach.  I enjoy supporting people into employment as it is a key part of the recovery journey and an extremely varied role.

Outside of work: I enjoy live music, going to markets, reading and spending time with friends.



Hassan: Job  Retention Case Worker
What I do: Provide support and advocacy to both employees, and their employers, in contexts where the employee is experiencing mental health issues and/ or stress, and the person requires assistance to successfully retain jobs,  return to work from sick leave in a safe and supportive way, and to also resolve work issues in a collaborative way.

I have worked for the Trust since February 2006, and have always enjoyed observing participants moving on in a positive and meaningful way in the workplace.

Outside of work: Socializing, reading and music.
